LPG: LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a gaseous fuel obtained by refining oil. It is widely used in homes to fuel cookers, water heaters and other appliances because it is practical, efficient and relatively cheap.

Why it is used: LPG is prized for its ease of use, clean combustion and the fact that it can also be used in areas not reached by the natural gas network.

• Operating principle: LPG is stored in a liquid state inside the cylinder, due to high pressure. When we open the tap, the liquid turns into gas, powering household appliances.
  Components: The cylinders are equipped with a safety valve, pressure gauge and a fitting to connect the domestic system.

Safety rules: Regulations lay down precise rules for the positioning of cylinders:

Location: They must be placed in well-ventilated rooms, away from sources of heat and combustible materials.
Capacity limits: There are limits on the total capacity of LPG that can be present in a dwelling, depending on the volume of the premises.
Location: They should never be placed in rooms below ground level (cellars, basements) as the LPG, being heavier than air, would accumulate below.

• Simple operation: Changing the cylinder is a relatively simple operation, but it is advisable to follow the manufacturer's instructions and, if you feel unsure, to contact a technician.
  Caution: Before changing the cylinder, make sure that all electrical appliances are switched off and that the cylinder tap is closed.
